5 Refreshing Water Infusion Recipes

About 2 weeks ago, Kiepersol got new merchandise in the Distillery. I go to the Distillery on many occasions both for business and pleasure, but the most recent time changed my (non-alcoholic) drinking habits. The beautiful iridescent glass bottle grabbed my attention immediately. After two days of internal and external debate, I decided that I needed this fancy new water bottle (pictured below). I believe that Kiepersol originally purchased it to push infused spirits, but I planned on using it for water since I laid eyes on it.
Below are some infusion recipes that I love! (There is a lot of mint) These recipes can be doubled or reduced based on the size of your infuser. Mine is on the smaller side, so these recipes can be considered a single serving.

1: Strawberry and Mint

  • 1 strawberry (washed and sliced)
  • 4 -6 mint leaves (washed and slapped*)

I love that these recipes are so simple. You literally just combine these ingredients and let the infuser do the work. I allow them to infuse overnight if I can.
*As for “slapping” the mint…slapping the mint in the palm of your hands, basically clapping with it, will release the aromatics and sensation of the mint.

2: Cucumber and Mint

  • 4 small cucumber slices/quarters (depending on the size of the cucumber and infuser)
  • 4-6 mint leaves (washed and slapped)

This recipe is both refreshing and mild. Fortunately both ingredients are really refreshing. The cucumber adds the juicy aspects, while the mint is so light and energizing.

3: Lemon and Lime

  • 2 lemon slices
  • 2 lime slices

This recipe is amazingly easy. You only need one lemon and one lime for this, and even better, you only use less than half of each! Save the rest for the next day or for future recipes!

4: Strawberry and Blueberry

  • 1 strawberry (washed and sliced)
  • 4-6 blueberries (sliced)

This is has been my simple go-to since I got my infuser. My husband always has strawberries and blueberries for his “super parfait” or oatmeal that he has. I do recommend giving the blueberries one slice in each that doesn’t go all the way through so that it lets the juice infuse a little bit. I have found that the flavor is a little stronger that way.

5: Blueberry and Mint

  • 4-6 Blueberries (washed and sliced)
  • 4-6 Mint leaves (washed and slapped)

If there was ever a non-alcoholic Mojito, this would be it. This water infusion is both delicious and invigorating. The light flavors of the mint pair perfectly with the fruity and tangy flavors of blueberry for a light and zesty sip. I love how these flavors continue to pack a punch, even if you load up the infuser with several bottles of water on the same infusion recipe-it still holds up!
