Run with Me: C25K Series Week 3

Well, week 3 was quite tough! All of the confidence that I gained last week completely left me during the first 3 minute round of jogging. I confidently rushed out on W3D1 only to drag my feet and hang my head on the way back. Fortunately, there is a bright side coming!

Introduction, Week 1, Week 2.

Week 3 consisted of the following:

  • 5 minute warm up.
  • 90 seconds of jogging then 90 seconds of walking.
  • 3 minutes of jogging then 3 minutes of walking.
  • Repeat both sets.
  • Cool down for 3-5 minutes.
This girl was SO worn out. She was trying to lay down in the grass after the first 3 minutes of jogging.


  • Day 1: 1.54 miles, 257 calories burned.
  • Day 2: 1.59 miles, 264 calories burned.
  • Day 3: 1.65 miles, 275 calories burned.

Despite my feeling discouraged, I seem to have improved at least a little bit each day. I love documenting my journey with this program: I would have continued feeling down about my progress (or what I felt was a lack of progress) until I looked at the week broken down. I ended up doing better than I thought, or at least improving each day.

My pup, Furi, has also enjoyed C25K, thoroughly. She knows workout tights+leash=FUN! She feels every bit of the same exhaustion that I do on the 3 minute jog sections.
